After more than 13 years with Neuhoff Communications, July 17 was Andrew Harby’s last day with the company.
“It’s the only company I’ve ever worked for; I grew up in the business,” said Harby, who started working for Neuhoff while still in high school. For the past five years, he has served as the sales manager for the Springfield area.
“It’s time for something different and I like having the opportunity to build my own business,” said Harby, who plans to work as a representative for Country Financial.
“My dad has worked for Country Financial for more than 40 years, so I know what I’m getting myself into,” explained Harby, who noted that his brother also sells insurance. “When I have questions, I can pick up the phone and call my dad.”
Harby said he will work out of corporate office for a short time before transitioning to his own office. “Me going into insurance isn’t necessarily a big surprise for a lot of people.”
Harby has a bachelor's degree in business marketing from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from University of Illinois Springfield.
