After nearly nine years with Springfield Clinic, Rachel Dyas is leaving to become the coordinator of public relations, media and marketing for Springfield Public School District 186.
“I’m a graduate of District 186 and I coached cheerleading and dance for Lanphier for 12 years,” said Dyas. “The kiddos have always been near and dear to my heart, and I wanted try something different outside of health care.”
Dyas begins her new role on June 20, replacing Bree Hankins, who recently left the district to take a job with the Illinois Department of Transportation.
After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, Dyas worked as a news producer at WICS News Channel 20 before joining Springfield Clinic. With her diverse experience, she said she hopes to facilitate connections among various businesses and organizations to promote growth within the city.
“Springfield Clinic was a big part of my career and I learned a lot,” said Dyas. “I’m excited to use the knowledge I gained to help propel District 186 to new heights within their communications department.”
