Event planning company Pole Barn Chic is opening a second location focused on kids’ parties.
Pole Barn Chic – Kids,116 W. Walnut St. in Chatham, will have a variety of party items available for sale or rent, including supplies and decorations such as backdrops, throne chairs and marquee letters.
“It’s going to be a little bit of everything,” said store manager Angie Wall. “We’re focusing on the 4 to 10-year-old age range.”
There will be also be space available to rent on evenings and weekends to host children’s parties for up to 24 people.
Wall said initial plans are to have the retail location open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. “You’ll also be able to place an order online for pick up, or we’ll deliver it,” she said.
A ribbon cutting is scheduled with the Chatham Chamber of Commerce for Thursday, June 15, at 4 p.m.
Audrey Kondelis launched Pole Barn Chic in 2020 as an all-inclusive party service, providing everything from the decorations to bartenders, catering, floral services and a photographer and DJ. She had initially planned to construct an event venue on eight acres of land on South Sixth Street, but after construction estimates were higher than anticipated, Kondelis purchased a house with acreage at 4491 Old Chatham Road, near Knight's Action Park. The house has now been fully renovated and is used for smaller events, while a building for larger events is currently under construction on the property.
