Mark Ginster retires from Carrollton Bank

After 25 years, Mark Ginster has retired from Carrollton Bank, effective Feb. 25. While he plans to do quite a bit of traveling, including spending the month of March in Arizona, he will also still work with the bank as a consultant.

Taylor-Ann Hamlin is replacing him as Springfield branch manager, while Kasey VanderMeersch is taking over his lending responsibilities as a home loan officer.

“I started as a part-time customer service representative in 2009, then became full-time after a couple of years,” said Hamlin. “Mark is the one that hired me, and he’s been a great mentor.” She became the assistant branch manager in 2018, working closely with Ginster in preparation for his retirement.

VanderMeersch joined Carrollton Bank’s Springfield branch in 2018 as a loan assistant.

“I hope to carry on the same customer service quality that he did,” said Hamlin. “We’re happy for him, but sad to see him go.”
