Bailey Family Insurance has relocated to 1625 S. Sixth St. as of Dec. 28.
“We were renting previously; this is our first purchase,” said Christine Bailey, who owns the independent agency along with her husband, Mark. Bailey said the business just celebrated its four-year anniversary and previously operated out of two different rented locations. “Now we’ve found our forever home,” she said of the building that was purchased in October.
“My husband had his eye on this building for quite some time, and we’d outgrown our small rental space,” Bailey said. The building, which formerly housed a health care office, had been vacant for two years and the Baileys spent several months renovating it with the help of family members.
At 3,800 square feet, it is significantly larger than their previous office space. Bailey said it will allow the company to host first-time home buyer seminars as well as meetings for community organizations. “We’ll also have room to grow; there are a couple of empty offices we’re looking to fill over the next year or two,” she said.
