Sean Mulhern has joined SB Financial, a subsidiary of Security Bank, as a financial adviser. Mulhern graduated from Illinois State University earlier this year with a degree in economics and finance.
“My dad is a financial adviser in Peoria, and I made up my mind my sophomore year of college that’s what I wanted to do,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity to make an impact in people’s lives.”
After graduation, Mulhern participated in a training program through Midwestern Securities Trading Company while he obtained his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses. He has now joined Karen Hansen as part of the SB Financial team and will be working out of the office at 510 E. Monroe. “I like downtown Springfield, it has a great mix of the old and new,” he said.
Mulhern, who is originally from the Peoria area, recently moved to Springfield and said he hopes to get involved in a variety of local networking groups and civic organizations.
