Lauren Henton and Katie Romang, co-owners and practicing therapists, began Luminary Counseling and Solutions after seeing an opportunity to create something different. “We created Luminary as a modern, warm, feminine space that reflects a new approach to emotional wellness and self-care in our area without the institutional feel of a traditional medical environment,” Henton said. “We wanted therapy to feel welcoming and restorative, while helping shift the perception of mental healthcare from something sought only in crisis to something women can intentionally invest in as part of their overall well-being.”
Luminary combines specialized expertise in women’s mental health with genuine human connection. It is the result of two working moms dreaming up the ideal platform to bring their experience, passions and vision for mental health care to life. “What began as our own small practice has grown into a group practice serving women and families in our community and throughout Illinois,” Henton said.
“We understand the invisible load women carry and create a space where clients can pause, reconnect with themselves to feel supported and empowered to move forward. At Luminary, we welcome you as a person and invite you to care for your mental health as often or as periodically as you need and want – à la carte for your heart.”
