Jessica Lance founded Bewitching Botanicals in October 2019, starting with handmade products assembled on a folding table in her home. Today, the company has grown into a brick-and-mortar retail store, production space and online business. “I started the company to create thoughtfully made self-care and home products while building something that could support my family that also reflected the values most important to me: quality ingredients, honesty, accessibility and community,” Lance said. “We are a family operated company with my parents, Jennifer and Ryan, Granny Barb and our two part-time employees Tori and Christine”
Bewitching Botanicals specializes in handmade bath and body products, candles, botanical goods and thoughtfully curated gifts. The company prioritizes organic, naturally derived, fair-trade and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. “We work hard to create an approachable, inclusive space where people feel welcome and cared for,” Lance said. “We listen to our customers, support other small makers and local causes and remain genuinely involved in the community that has helped us grow.”
Lance believes their story also represents what small business ownership truly looks like. “Bewitching Botanicals was built through creativity, resilience and an enormous amount of hands-on work,” she said. “I am a mother of five, a medical caregiver and a disability advocate. Those experiences influence how I lead the business and care for our customers and employees, and I’m deeply grateful for the community that continues to support us.”
