The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space will soon be located downtown in the former Staley building at 623 East Adams.

In November, The Pharmacy will relocate from its current space at 711 S. Fifth St., where the art gallery has been housed for the past four years. President Janet Sgro said the new space is about three times larger than the current location and will allow for additional artists and programming.

A co-op art collective and nonprofit organization established in 2011, The Pharmacy currently consists of 20 members. Sgro said The Pharmacy is also looking forward to being a part of the many activities downtown, including the upcoming holiday walks.

The first show at the new location will be held Dec. 7-8, with a formal grand opening to follow after the first of the year.
