Read which building permits were approved by the City of Springfield between Jan. 8, 2018, and Jan. 14, 2018.

Rock Island Economic Growth Corp has obtained a commercial demolition permit for 501 E. Capitol Ave. The permit covers the non-structural interior demolition of the former First United Methodist Church. The contractor is Springfield-based O’Shea Builders, and the project is valued at $170,158.

AT&T Mobility has obtained a commercial building permit for 3041 Stanton. The permit is for AT&T site number IL5264. The contractor is Roselle-based Fulton Technologies, Inc., and the project is valued at $6,000.

Levi Ray & Shoup has obtained a commercial building permit for 2387 W. Monroe. The permit is for a new office and garage addition. The contractor is Springfield-based O’Shea Builders, and the project is valued at $17,000,000.

St. John’s Hospital has obtained a commercial remodeling permit for 400 N. Ninth St., Suite B. The permit is for a tenant build-out of Suite B, including pediatrics 1 and 2, maternal fetal medicine and OB/GYN. The contractor is Peoria-based P.J. Hoerr, Inc., and the project is valued at $4,140,000.

St. John’s Hospital has obtained a commercial remodeling permit for 400 N. Ninth St., Suite A. The permit is for a tenant build-out of Suite A, including lab, pharmacy, pediatric rehab, pediatric diagnosis and imaging/mammography. The contractor is Peoria-based P.J. Hoerr, Inc., and the project is valued at $2,350,000.

St. John’s Hospital has obtained a commercial remodeling permit for 400 N. Ninth St., Suite C. The permit is for a tenant build-out of Suite C, including ortho and general surgery. The contractor is Peoria-based P.J. Hoerr, Inc., and the project is valued at $1,004,000.

St. John’s Hospital has obtained a commercial remodeling permit for 800 E. Carpenter St. The permit covers the replacement of hospital café equipment. The contractor is Springfield-based O’Shea Builders, and the project is valued at $80,000.

Hopwood, LLC has obtained a commercial demolition permit for 1844 W. Jefferson. The permit covers the demolition of an ATM. The contractor is Hopwood, LLC, and the project is valued at $2,500.

Mike Ryan has obtained a commercial mechanical permit for 3141 Hedley Road. The permit covers the installation of two kitchen hoods. The contractor is Springfield-based Henson Robinson Company, and the project is valued at $100,000.

Illinois Retail Merchant Association has obtained a commercial remodeling permit for 216 Broadway. The permit is for an interior remodel of Dorgan, Butcher & Phelps. The contractor is Springfield-based Allied Plumbing & Heating, and the project is valued at $25,000.

Springfield Art Association has obtained a commercial mechanical permit for 700 N. Fourth St.  The permit is for furnace replacement. The contractor is Springfield-based Allied Plumbing & Heating, and the project is valued at $900,000.

Keith and Laurie Loukinen have obtained a commercial signage permit for 517 S. Fourth St. The permit is for a temporary banner. The contractor is Springfield-based Central Illinois Sign Company, and the project is valued at $677.

Hickory Point Bank has obtained a commercial signage permit for 3131 W. Wabash Ave. The permit is for a replacement double-faced, illuminated sign with LED display and a double-sided monument sign. The contractor is Springfield-based Ace Sign Company, and the project is valued at $50,945.
