Greenie’s Grill began in July 2023 as a food trailer. The business is owned by Adam Greenfield, who serves as the owner-operator and chef, and Kayla Webster, who works behind the scenes overseeing the business side of the operation. Their first event was serving the volunteers shucking corn for the Chatham Sweet Corn Festival.
Greenie’s is a veteran- and woman-owned burger joint built around a simple idea: food that is fast, fresh and delicious. “We aren’t trying to be a big chain, and we don’t want to operate like one,” Greenfield said. “Our burgers are made with fresh, never-frozen beef that we hand-patty daily. We have built our reputation around big, messy smashburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, horseshoes and creative weekly specialty burgers that give our customers something new to look forward to.”
Greenie’s started small but soon built a following. In January 2025, they opened the brick-and-mortar Greenie’s Grill in Rochester. Today, they operate both the restaurant and the food trailer that travels throughout the community.
“We’re still learning, growing, working long days and dreaming about what’s next,” Greenfield said. “But the heart of the business hasn’t changed from that first day in the food trailer: serve really good food, take care of people and give our community a place they’re excited to come back to.”
