What is your guiding principle in life? Make it fun.
What led you to your current career? Business and marketing are such broad fields. I love the challenge of communications and all the different ways that communication can impact people's lives. At the start of the pandemic, I was employed in the communications and marketing division at Memorial Health. Throughout the pandemic, I worked on crisis communication, vaccination communication and became much more interested in the connectedness of our community. When my current position came open, I was excited for the opportunity to bring my communications experience to a role that has more direct impact on patients and visitors of Memorial Health.
What is your greatest hope for Springfield? My greatest hope for Springfield is that we build a community that supports one another and builds each other up.
What do you wish your younger self had known when you started on this path? Don't be afraid to take risks and try new things. Failing forward is progress.
What has been your greatest professional achievement to date? One of my proudest achievements is building a thriving patient experience team across multiple care sites and unifying efforts to not only recognize, but also to honor the dignity and humanity of patients alongside their medical care.
