Green Family Stores acquired the Nissan franchise in 2011 from Royal Oaks Nissan. The company boasts a large line of new and pre-owned vehicles, as well as electric vehicles. But perhaps its greatest success is in how it treats its employees, customers and the community.
"We take pride in servicing our community and making an impact by building a strong team and having a great work environment," said Daniel Warren, general manager. "Here at Green Nissan, we are not just a place to be employed, but a place where we are all family. We call ourselves the Green Dream Team because we believe that we have built a team of the best employees in the local automotive industry."
Warren believes Green Nissan is a best place to work because the company keeps getting better every year. "We create a place where employees feel appreciated and supported," he said. "We focus on teamwork, growth and positive culture, which makes work more enjoyable and helps us take better care of our customers." Warren also knows that when the Green Nissan team is happy, the customers can feel the difference as well.
He said Green Nissan is proud to be a part of the community, and its employees have positive feedback about the company.
"My favorite thing about working here is how we all work well together as a unit, and we all have each other's back, making it feel like family," said Peter Campo, sales consultant.
Service adviser Ron Schaefer nominated his employer for the recognition and said that his favorite part about working at Green Nissan is "the camaraderie of the team and the ability to service our customers." Schaefer began his seven-year career with Green Nissan on the sales floor and moved to express service adviser a few years ago before being promoted to his current role.
"I enjoy the opportunity to not only service vehicles but to do it in a way that serves the customer as well," Schaefer said.
Rhonda Bolding, parts manager, has been with the company for 14 years. "My favorite part about working at Green Nissan is all of the people who work here are extended family to me, and the boys in the parts department are like my sons," she said.
The Green Nissan team is creative in finding ways to work with various segments of the community to give back. Over the past year, the company teamed up with Ducks Unlimited and Whitetails Unlimited to help preserve local habitats by raising money and sponsoring area events.
"We believe in networking with local businesses and teaming up with organizations that believe in community service and making our hometown a great place to do business with companies that care," Warren said.
One recurring community project is the coat drive that Green Family Stores organizes every year. Warren said the customers at Green Nissan come through by donating brand-new coats for area students. "Each winter our showroom is crowded with coats for kids," he said.
"Green Nissan wants to exceed your expectations and provide a zero-pressure experience," Warren said. "While continuing to grow as a team, we are always improving, strengthening our workplace culture and building lasting relationships to make Green Nissan a place people trust."
