After many years of working in the industry, Cheri Plummer has launched her own insurance agency. CLP Insurance Solutions officially opens Nov. 1 at 3050 Montvale Drive, Suite C.
Plummer most recently worked for Lee/O'Keefe Insurance Agency, specializing in commercial insurance.
"It was always in the back of my mind that I wanted to be a partner," she said. "I'd been with them for 15 years and that just wasn't something that was in the cards, so I decided to make my own opportunity."
Keane Rogers of Taylorville will also be working with Plummer as a producer, writing both commercial and personal lines for home, auto and life.
"My background was primarily in commercial, but I will be a little bit more diverse this time around," Plummer said. "I'm also looking to hire a customer service representative, ideally someone already licensed, but I would consider training the right person."
A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for later this year.
