After nearly a decade of operating from the same location, Magnolia Lane Home Décor and More is preparing to relocate.
Marci Ridle purchased the business, originally known as 6th Street Home Décor and More, in April 2013 and moved into the current location at 3600 S. Sixth St. in July of that year. The business sells new and gently used furniture and home décor, plus vintage and hand-painted furniture.
“Our building recently sold, so we were looking to relocate,” said Ridle. She signed a lease for a suite in The Yard Shopping Center, 1650 W. Wabash Ave., that was most recently occupied by FItBodies.
“We’ll do a little bit of a remodel, pretty much all cosmetic,” said Ridle. “It’s going to happen quickly, because we take over the new space on Dec. 1 and we have to be out of the other space by Jan. 8. We’ll get the main showroom done first, and then we can work on the other rooms as we’re in there.”
