A new Panda Express Chinese Kitchen is planned for North Dirksen Parkway, according to a building permit issued by the City of Springfield on May 5.
The restaurant will be new construction, following the demolition of the closed Royal Buffet at 2730 N. Dirksen Parkway. The contractors on the project are Prather Plumbing and Heating Inc. and MCO & Associates General Contractor. The property is owned by Realty Income IL Properties of Rosemead, California.

Imperial Developments LLC obtained an electrical permit for the new Dollar General store at 2117 Clear Lake Ave. Bledsoe Electric Inc. of Buffalo is the contractor.
Hermes Equipment Company of Bloomington obtained a mechanical permit to install HVAC systems and laundry dryers for the new Starcrest Cleaners location at 2025 S. MacArthur Blvd. TomKat Roofing and Illinois Valley Construction are the contractors.
United Parcel Services (UPS) obtained a building permit for a new metal building at its facility at 3149 Wide Track Dr. The contractor is USA Modular Inc.
Solon LLC obtained a building permit to remodel the warehouse at 1014 E. Laurel St. The contractor is Joyner Construction Services.
