C-level shakeup at Springfield Clinic

Springfield Clinic has a new CEO, but it's just one of several changes in the medical provider's administrative team.

The clinic's website on Tuesday showed that Ray Williams has replaced J. Michael Maynard in the CEO role. Maynard had served as interim CEO since July 2016 and had previously served as CEO for more than 20 years, retiring in 2008. Williams is new to Springfield Clinic, having come from a position as senior vice president for physician mergers and integration at the International Council for Quality Care.

In addition to Williams' start as CEO, it appears Springfield Clinic has made at least five other changes to its administrative team, including the apparent elimination of two positions. A spokeswoman for Springfield Clinic could not be immediately reached for comment.

Springfield Clinic's former chief medical information officer, Dr. Jyotirmaya Nanda, is no longer listed on the company's website. His position has also been removed from the company's administration page. Additionally, the company's chief clinical officer, Mary Stewart, has been removed from the page, along with her position.

Katie Rutledge was added to the page in the new position of chief human resources officer.

Former senior medical director Dr. Kenneth Sagins has transitioned to the new role of chief medical officer, and his old position no longer appears on the page.
