Mark Birtch has started a new position as a licensed Realtor with Keller Williams Realty, Inc.
“I’ll be doing primarily residential real estate, representing both buyers and sellers,” Birtch said. “I’m working with Jim Skeeters and his team.”
Birtch spent the past eight years with Midwest Family Broadcasting, most recently as the director of sales, and he served as the general manager for a time. However, he also has prior real estate experience.
“I had done commercial real estate with Coldwell Banker about 12 years ago,” Birtch said, noting that the Coldwell franchise requires agents to choose between residential or commercial real estate. “In hindsight, if I had been able to do both (residential and commercial) I probably would have never gotten out of it.”
Birtch was born in Springfield and lived in Chicago for a time after college but returned in 1999. “I know the community well, and I’ve been involved in a lot of ways,” he said. “Plus, I have 25 years of marketing experience, so I’m hoping to set myself apart from the rest.”
“I really wanted to build something for myself as far as my own business, and real estate seemed the best place to do that. I’ve always loved helping to connect people.”
