Capital Area Real Estate has merged with Keller Williams, although the firm will continue to operate the office located at 316 E. Adams in Springfield. In 2016, Phil Chiles left The Real Estate Group and opened Capital Area Real Estate, citing a long-time desire to have a downtown office.
Asked about his recent decision to merge with Keller Williams, Chiles said, "I wanted to continue to have a downtown presence, that was part of our negotiations. But the things I liked about Keller Williams were the technology, training and transparency."
Along with Chiles, Carie Cycholl and Gail Wasmer will be joining Keller Williams. "KW has some amazing technology and training, and I wanted to have the benefit of that for my agents," he said. "I believe it will also help me in recruiting new agents to the company, because now we have more to offer."
