After three decades downtown, Merrill Lynch is moving its Springfield office west.
The financial services firm is relocating from 611 E. Monroe St., where it has been
located since 1996, to 3161 W. White Oaks Drive. The approximately 20 employees
who work in the office will officially make the move this week.
Diane Wagner, regional spokesperson for Bank of America, which owns Merrill Lynch, said the
company is making a “committed reinvestment in Springfield” with the move to an
updated workspace.
“Our move reflects Merrill’s commitment to providing a more modern, and appropriately
sized workplace that supports employees, clients and long-term operational needs,”
Wagner said. “It’s a desirable, convenient location that mirrors the competitor landscape
of being outside the downtown area.”
Merrill will be leasing 7,500 square feet in the new location, as compared to the 8,700
square feet it had in its downtown office. The new office is in the Novanis E-Business
Center, whose tenants also include the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education,
Legacy Wealth Partners, Edward Jones and Paszkiewicz Litigation Services, among
others.
