Lauren Tomten has relocated her photography business to a larger space on West Ash Street.
Tomten opened her photography business in 2013, specializing in newborn and family photos. Three years ago, Lauren Tomten Photography moved into commercial space on State Street and last fall she was ready to expand again.
In October, Tomten purchased the property at 1219 W. Ash St. that had been vacant for several years but previously housed a consignment shop and beauty salon. “This will give me longevity, and more space to grow the business,” she told SBJ at the time.
While she had originally hoped to move in to the new space before the end of the year, Tomten said renovations took longer than expected. However, she is now operating out of the new space and plans to hold an open house on Sunday, June 5.
