Jean Bruner-Jachino has taken on a short-term leadership
role with Downtown Springfield, Inc. Bruner-Jachino will step in part-time to
assist the organization while DSI conducts a comprehensive search for its next executive
director.

Kayla Graven’s last day with DSI was Nov. 24 and she is
now working for the city of Springfield’s Office of Planning and Economic
Development.

Bruner-Jachino has a 24-year tenure with DSI as a
volunteer, including serving multiple terms on the board of directors. According to a written statement from DSI, “Jean Bruner-Jachino brings a wealth
of experience and a deep understanding of DSI’s mission… Her commitment to the
revitalization and growth of downtown Springfield aligns seamlessly with the
organization’s goals, making her an invaluable asset during this transitional
period.”

Bruner-Jachino said, “I am excited and honored to have
the opportunity to support DSI in this role. Downtown Springfield has held a
special place in my heart for many years, and I am eager to continue working
with DSI’s talented staff, board of directors and partners to ensure continued
progress and success for our downtown neighborhood.”

Bruner-Jachino
has served as the regional sales manager for Hotel Ventures Management of
Illinois since 2010. She previously operated Perpetual Consulting, Inc. and
also worked for Omni Communications Group and Illini Bank.
