It's Scrapicated consolidating into one location

It’s Scrapicated, a galvanized steel home décor company, is consolidating into one location and expanding its hours of operation.

Owner Tammy Tolley launched the business in August 2015, shortly after leaving her full-time employment with AT&T. “I started in my basement, and then moved to 1326 S. State St. soon after that,” Tolley said.

For eight years, Tolley oversaw the retail side of operations while someone else handled the manufacturing. However, she is now handling both aspects of the business.

“We had a business partner who cut all of our steel, and we purchased that side of the business in July of last year,” Tolley said. Noting that it would be cost-prohibitive to relocate all of the metal-cutting equipment, the retail side of the operation is now moving to 4151 W. Jefferson St., where the items are produced.

“We already have space there, where our equipment is, so now we’re building our new retail space inside there,” she said. A grand reopening is planned for April 27.

“We are going to extend our hours at our new location,” Tolley said. While the State Street location was only open to the public on Saturday, Tolley said retail hours will now be offered from 12-6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, curbside pickup for online sales will be available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
