European Wax Center is coming to Springfield. The location at 4423 Yucan Dr. in Cobblestone Plaza is holding a soft opening on Thursday, Nov. 9, according to manager Sydney Beach.
The company, based in Plano, Texas, has nearly 900 locations throughout the U.S. While there are numerous European Wax Center sites in the Chicago area, the only other central Illinois location is Bloomington, which is owned by the same franchisee. There are also salons in Glen Carbon and O’Fallon.
European Wax Center offers a variety of waxing services as well as skincare and body products. Beach said the Springfield location will employ eight wax specialists, in addition to her and another manager.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.- 8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
