Ive been a jack-of-all-trades, said Brandy Fletcher of her various artistic endeavors over the years. She had a photography business for 15 years before expanding into painting furniture, home décor and making personalized gift items, along with what she calls Pinterest at your fingertips.
Now, Fletcher plans to open Bs Creative Studio and have a retail location for her own products, as well as partnering with other local vendors. I like encouraging other women who are doing their own art, Fletcher said of her desire to provide space for other artists. And I want to have a studio where people can come and do art projects, ranging from kids to adults.
Fletcher has already signed a lease for space at 2915 S. MacArthur Blvd., the space next to Penny Lane formerly occupied by New Age Tattoos. She is in the process of remodeling and decorating the space and says she hopes to be ready to open the doors the first part of March.
I want it to be a place where the community can showcase art and be encouraged, she said.
