The signage is changing, but Andrew Cornett is still working out of the same office, providing the same services to clients.
After 11 years of working as the branch manager for LeaderOne Financial, he’s now made the move to DayOne Mortgage Group. Cornett is keeping his office at 2055 W. Iles in Springfield, along with his focus on residential mortgages.
“I’ve been in mortgage lending for 24 years,” he said. “I worked for three of the big banks – Wells Fargo, Chase and US Bank – before moving into the private sector with LeaderOne. I knew the owners, and they needed more of a presence in Illinois.”
However, several of the people he worked closely with at LeaderOne recently moved to DayOne Mortgage Group, a subsidiary of Celebrity Home Loans, and Cornett decided to make the transition as well.
“The technology at DayOne is a lot more advanced. Customers often have issues finding their old tax returns or pay stubs,” he noted. “Now there’s a third-party vendor that can help locate all that, and it’s less paperwork for the customer.”
Cornett said, "I look forward to being able to continue to assist clients with their mortgage needs, and now with even better technology."
