Tiger Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical Services has opened a Springfield location at 775 E. Linton Ave., effective July 15.
“We’ve been providing service to Springfield for the last year or two, but we officially moved in this year,” said co-owner and managing partner Todd Kiefer. The company, which was founded in 1993, is headquartered in Collinsville and initially served the St. Louis Metro East area before expanding into Central Illinois.
“We’re on pace to do about 30% more in sales this year than last year,” said Kiefer, who noted the company recently hired a general manager for the Springfield location but is still hiring for 5-10 other positions.
Kiefer said technicians are currently being dispatched from home instead of coming into the office, and all of the vehicles are sprayed down at least once a week. “We’re taking the pandemic very seriously, and we want customers to feel comfortable with us being in their homes,” he said.
Tiger currently offers residential HVAC and plumbing service in the Springfield area and hopes to add electrical service in the future. “We are currently working on getting our residential electrical licensing for Springfield, “said Kiefer.
“We’re really excited to be in this area,” he said. A ribbon cutting will be held in conjunction with the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m.
