Primo Designs, a Springfield-based business providing branded wearables and promotional items, has merged with Gorham’s Specialty Advertising, also of Springfield. The full integration with Gorham’s will be completed March 30 and the companies will operate out of Primo Designs' current location at 2417 North Grand Ave. East.
“Our two long-standing companies will provide products and services to customers nationwide,” said Len Naumovich, president of Primo Designs. “Gorham’s is a highly respected, family-owned business that has been a leader in the advertising specialties field for 65 years. Because of the product lines they offer and their customer-focused approach, Gorham’s is a tremendous fit for our team.”
Rita Bushkill, vice president of sales at Gorham’s, 1615 S. Fifth St., says the timing for the two companies joining forces was just right. “Primo is an excellently run business, and although we are in the same industry, we tend to complement one another rather than compete directly. We’ve broached the possibility informally over the years, but now with supply chain issues and how the dynamics of work have changed, the power of the two businesses together makes sense, especially with Primo’s capability to manufacture in-house.”
Founded in 1985 by Len Naumovich, Primo Designs provides screenprinted and embroidered logo wear apparel, order fulfillment, promotional products and digital printing. The company is expanding into the central Illinois markets of Bloomington/Normal, Peoria, Champaign and Decatur.
