A new entertainment complex in Legacy Pointe, Legends Entertainment, is slated to open on Friday.
The 46,000-square-foot complex at 1250 Lincolnshire Boulevard has a food court with five local restaurants, three bars, a 12-lane bowling alley and gaming for both kids and adults.
The food court has a mix of seating such as long tables, high tops and booths. The 5,600-square-foot central seating area is temperature controlled and has garage doors that can be opened in nice weather, plus a 4,400-square-foot open area patio with outdoor seating and yard games. There are also three party rooms that can accommodate larger groups.
Taco Gringo, Sapori Pizzeria & Italian Market, Wellthy Juice Co., The Vanilla Bean and Sliders will be the food court tenants. All of the vendors have an existing restaurant except Sliders, although the owner and operator are familiar names in the Springfield food scene.
“Will Hoecker and Omar Romero are the same folks that have done Brickhouse, Cousin Eddie’s and Papo’s Café,” said Ben Call, a broker with The Real Estate Group and one of the managers for Legends Entertainment, LLC, along with Bill Marriott Jr. and Blake Gebhardt. He said Sliders will offer similar types of classic American fare.
Call said the goal was to have a wide variety of dining options for families, but noted the food court won’t necessarily replicate what already exists.
“I don’t know if any of these restaurants are going to have the exact same menu that they do in their other place; they’re tailoring it to this location,” he previously told SBJ.
Construction began in June 2025, and the owners had originally hoped to have the opening coincide with the full opening of Scheels Sports Park earlier this year. However, Call said the unseasonably cold temperatures and heavy snow last winter delayed progress.
“We’re excited to be past the construction and ready to be open to the public,” he said. “I’m excited for people to see it.”
Legends will normally be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. seven days a week, although Call said the hours might be adjusted at times according to what events are happening at the Scheels Sports Park.
