Construction is underway on a 3,600 square foot commercial duplex at 560 W. Jefferson St. in Springfield. MBR Management Co., a Domino’s Pizza franchise with more than 80 locations throughout Illinois and Missouri, is the developer and Joyner Construction Services is the general contractor.
MBR Management, based out of St. Charles, Missouri, purchased the Domino’s Pizza franchise rights for Central Illinois in 2016. Since then, new locations have been constructed at 2662 S. Fifth St. and 3100 W. Iles in Springfield, in addition to the Jefferson location currently being built, as well as 1030 Jason Place in Chatham. MBR Management initially announced plans to relocate the existing store at 409 North Grand Ave., but that location remains open.
Construction of the new location on Jefferson is expected to be complete in early July. Domino’s Pizza will occupy one side of the building, and a tenant for the remaining space has not yet been announced.
