Floyd Imports

Brothers David and Eric Floyd both worked for Hembrough Volkswagen in the late 1970s. After that dealership changed owners and direction, the brothers decided to join forces and approach vehicle repair with their own philosophy. They opened Floyd Imports in August 1994 with the mission of providing expert, reliable automotive repair services built on trust and integrity.

The family business attracted Eric’s son, Andy, who began working the shop while he was still in high school and joined the team in 1996. David retired last year and Eric plans to transition to working part time in the coming year.

Floyd Imports specializes in the diagnostics, maintenance and repair of most import vehicles. They strive to get customers back on the road safely, with no surprises.

“With three generations under our roof, we value family above all else,” Andy said. “We want our customers to feel like family, too, which means caring for customers cars as if they were our own and prioritizing safety.”

The company also believes in paying all employees a salary, which is not what all repair shops do.
“Traditional repair shops pay their technicians by the job, which prioritizes profits and a higher turnover of repairs,” Andy said. “Being salaried means a healthier, happier workplace and financial stability for our staff. It also means repairs are done right, rather than rushed.”
