Chad Fowler started Sangamon Tree Service on his birthday, May 18, in 2020. He previously worked in corporate marketing and created the company because of a passion for the industry.
“I saw a big vulnerability in the tree industry when it came to quality and great customer service,” he said. “We strive every day to make the customer’s experience as smooth and simple as possible.”
Sangamon Tree Service works in tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding and emergency tree work due to storms. They have been voted Illinois Times Best of Springfield for 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Fowler always knew he wanted to be a business owner and landed upon trees. He began working with only a chainsaw and a Toyota Camry. Since then, he has successfully grown Sangamon Tree Service from the ground up to where it is today.
“I left a career in corporate America and haven’t looked back since,” he said. “We now have multiple trucks, trailers, multiple pieces of specialty equipment and a team of employees. The lady behind the phone and the jibber-jabbering in the background make up the rest of the Fowler team, my wife, Jillian, and son Tanner.”
