Troxell Insurance has named Kyle Dyson as the new chief operating officer, effective July 18.
Since 1887, this is only the second time in the companys history that a non-stakeholder will run the day-to-day operations of the agency, which is owned locally by six individuals and employs more 100 team members. In March, the agency named Sean Sexton as chief financial officer and Alysse Hewell as chief experience officer, a new role at Troxell. Mike Aiello currently serves as the companys president and CEO.
"We are thrilled that we found someone locally with the experience we were looking for to fill the role of COO. Kyle is a proven leader with an exceptional background," said Todd Sowle, Troxell partner. "Kyle will help us optimize efficiencies while keeping our team and customers a top priority. Kyle will help our footprint grow so we can remain a local insurance agency that offers unique solutions and services to compete with the national firms.
Previously, Dyson worked at StandardAero in Springfield for more than two decades. He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and is currently working on a master in business administration from Western Illinois University.
My role is to help the business run as smoothly and efficiently as possible by making sure that everyone on our team has the tools and support they need, when they need them, Dyson says. Troxell has a longstanding history of success and growth, and I can't wait to help continue that. As a lifelong resident of Springfield, I've known the Troxell name for many years, and consider myself very lucky to be able to join a team who measures success not just at the bottom line on financial reports, but also in employee retention and community engagement. They care about their people and their communities, and that's a team I'm excited to be a part of.
