The Phoenix Center has relocated and expanded its retail store, now known as OUT on Second, located at the corner of Second and Scarritt streets.

The original retail space and resource center, OUT on Adams, opened in 2021 at 213 E. Adams St., between Café Moxo and The Elf Shelf Music and Records. The OUT store has now relocated to a building at 120 E. Scarritt St. that the Phoenix Center purchased last year. The property also houses the administrative offices for the Phoenix Center.

In addition to pride merchandise, the OUT store includes work from LGBT artists. “By the end of the year we will be offering additional programming in the basement of the new building. This will include social and educational groups, activities and a coffee shop,” said Jonna Cooley, executive director of the Phoenix Center, in a written statement.

An open house is planned for Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
