Kimberly Eck rejoins Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln

The Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln has hired Kimberly Eck as philanthropic administrator. Her responsibilities include processing gifts and grants, database management, providing support for the Foundation’s grant programs, and organizing and directing special events.

“I am extremely excited to rejoin the Community Foundation team on a full-time basis,” said Eck. “It is an honor and privilege to continue work with this staff, the board of directors, and the philanthropic community throughout Central Illinois.”

Eck originally worked at the Community Foundation from 2015-2018, where she served as office manager, scholarship coordinator and director of donor services. She returned to the classroom as an elementary teacher for several years at Blessed Sacrament School in Springfield, before coming back to the Foundation on a part-time basis in 2021.

Prior to her work with the Community Foundation, Eck was a stay-at-home mother and caregiver to other children, a school relations director for a college funding company where she served as a liaison to financial aid officers and college students throughout the Midwest, a middle school science teacher and an adjunct professor.

Eck holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and a master's degree in elementary education from The College of State Rose in Albany, New York. She has called central Illinois home for 16 years and currently lives in Rochester with her family.
