Harvest Kitchen + Bar, 4241 Conestoga Drive, has expanded its menu and operating hours.
Harvest Kitchen + Bar held a soft opening in February, but the restaurant in Prairie Crossing has now expanded its menu and operating hours.
"We've added a new dinner menu, which is completely different from the first menu we had focused on breakfast and lunch," said Odette Yobal, who co-owns the business with her mother, Vivian Dominguez.
The mother-daughter duo is leasing the space at 4241 Conestoga Drive that most recently housed Sweet Basil Café. That business closed suddenly in August 2024 following a commercial eviction case that resulted in an order to vacate.
The initial menu included breakfast staples such as pancakes, French toast and build your own omelets, but it also featured a Spanish tortilla with eggs, roasted potatoes and onions and topped with chorizo; a frittata Italian-style omelet with spinach, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes topped with mozzarella and parmesan; and croffles, a waffle croissant topped with a mix of cream cheese, powdered sugar and berries. Heartier options such as steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy and breakfast horseshoes are also available.
Yobal said the breakfast menu was tweaked based on customer feedback and "we have changed some dishes as far as the presentation."
The newly launched lunch and dinner menu includes T-bone steak, pork chops, seafood entrees and pasta, plus salads and sandwiches. Yobal said the restaurant now has a liquor license and she is working on a bar menu that will include beer, wine, cocktails and mocktails. Mimosas and bloody Marys will be offered for breakfast and brunch.
The new hours of operation are 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday.
A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, with the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
