Davis Financial Group to merge with Bank of Springfield

Davis Financial Group and Bank of Springfield (BOS) have announced plans to merge. Pending regulatory approval, the merger is expected to take place this fall. All current Davis Financial Group employees will join the BOS Investment Services department.

Davis Financial Group, 1005 S. Sixth St., was founded in 1981 with the goal of assisting clients in every aspect of their financial lives. Founder John Andrew “Drew” Davis said, “Partnering with BOS will broaden and enhance our abilities to provide investment and insurance services to our customers.”

Michael Pence, president of BOS, stated, “The DFG team is a great fit for BOS with many shared values including exemplary professionalism, importance of community and dedicated staff.”

BOS was founded in 1965 in Springfield and now serves nine communities with branch locations in Springfield, Chatham, Jacksonville, Quincy, Shiloh, Swansea, Glen Carbon and Staunton in Illinois and one branch in St. Louis, Missouri.
