Evergreen Wealth is preparing to open on Springfield’s west side, but both the business and the staff are already well-known.
“We’ve been Troxell Financial for over 30 years,” said Cassandra Ostermeier, director of marketing.
The business has shared space at 214 South Grand Ave. West with Troxell, an independent insurance agency, since its inception, although Ostermeier said they have always been two seperate businesses. However, she acknowledged that the shared location and similar names often cause confusion for clients.
“We’ve really grown since then, and many of our clientele have moved to southwest Florida,” Ostermeier said, noting that clients appreciate the relationship-driven financial guidance. “We opened up an office in Naples in the last few years under the name Evergreen Wealth.”
Now, the Springfield office is changing its name to Evergreen Wealth to avoid the complications that come from having “two different businesses with two different names,” she said.
The financial planning firm is also moving to its own office space at 1200 Centre West Drive, which Ostermeier said will be advantageous to both businesses.
“Troxell Insurance has also grown and they needed more space in the building, and we were growing out of our space,” she said, noting that Evergreen Wealth now has six financial advisers and a total of 12 staff.
The business purchased a former doctor’s office last year and has “completely gutted and remodeled it,” Ostermeier said.
“Even though the name has changed, what matters most has stayed the same – our values and our commitment to our clients,” she said. “We’re embracing the future and this growth.”
CEO Scott Norris said, “Moving into our new office gives us the chance to create a space that’s more welcoming, more collaborative and better-equipped to go well beyond the expectations of our clients.”
The new location is slated to open Nov 1.
