The Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Springfield has opened in Legacy Pointe, the first hotel constructed since the groundbreaking of the SCHEELS Sports Park. The new 91-room hotel, located at 3951 S. MacArthur Blvd., is just south of and adjacent to the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, which opened in 2019.
Both properties were developed by a local hotel ownership group, Legacy Hospitality, and are managed by Ehrhardt Hospitality of Hannibal, Missouri. Justin Roesch is the general manager for the new Fairfield by Marriott.
“We are especially proud to open our doors in the growing SCHEELS Sports Park and Legacy Pointe district,” Roesch said in a written statement. “With thousands of athletes and families visiting the area each year for tournaments, entertainment, and community events, our Fairfield team is excited to serve as a convenient and welcoming home base.”
Hotel amenities include an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, valet laundry service and a complimentary hot breakfast.

A grand opening for SCHEELS Sports Park is planned for May, and the complex has already started hosting indoor events. Construction is also underway for Legends Entertainment, a 46,000-square-foot complex that will house a food court with five local restaurants, two bars, a bowling alley and gaming for both kids and adults.
