Brezie’s Roasted Beans & Gaming opens in Southern View

Brezie’s Roasted Beans & Gaming is a new addition to the Springfield area’s growing coffee scene, but it also offers breakfast and lunch options plus activities for kids.

“I’ve been in the restaurant and bar industry my whole life,” said owner Bree Richardson. “Plus, my mom owns Jamie’s Route 66, so when the suite next door became available, it was like it was meant to be.”

Bree Richardson opened Brezie’s Roasted Beans & Gaming next door to her mom's business, Jamie's Route 66.
Brezie’s Roasted Beans opened Jan. 22 at 3351 S. Sixth St. in Southern View. The location includes a dedicated area “for kids to be able to come in and play and do activities,” Richardson said, which has proved to be quite popular with parents and grandparents.

A kid’s Easter egg painting activity is planned for March 23, and Richardson said she plans to offer a monthly art activity that will be open to both children and adults.

The menu includes a “huge selection of coffees and lattes, although Lotus Energy drinks are the most popular,” said Richardson. She has partnered with Wildflower Bakery in Chatham to provide baked goods and Hope School to make fresh salads. Sandwiches are made in-house, with customers able to choose their bread, meat, cheese and toppings.

Hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m.-12 p.m. on Sunday. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, at 12 p.m.
