dies behind the new venture. “We became friends eight or nine years ago, and all of our husbands are friends,” Robinson told SBJ when plans were first announced. “Hannah and Caty went to high school together.”
Robinson said the focus was initially on an event-planning businesses, since she and Goss already had experience helping out with weddings and other events. “Once we started brainstorming, we decided to open a wine bar but also use the space to do private event rentals – the best of both worlds.”
Robinson said the business will also offer build-your-own floral arrangements and classes for those who want to learn the basics of floral arranging, in addition to pre-arranged florals and custom services for special events.
“We’ll host showers, birthday parties, office parties – we’ve even had a couple of inquiries about small weddings, so we’re excited to see where that goes,” Robinson said.
The wine bar will have 75 different types of wine, plus a cocktail menu and craft and domestic beers. Appetizers and flat breads will be offered as accompaniments.
A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, with the grand opening immediately following at 11 a.m. Hours of operation will be Wednesday and Thursday 3-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.pring, Robinson said, “We’re excited to finally open and let the public see what we’ve been working on for the past year.”
