Bigley Insurance Agency has opened at 677 Linton Ave. as of Sept. 5.
Owner Nicole Bigley worked for the AAA Insurance corporate office for five years, first as an insurance agent in the Springfield branch and later as an assistant manager overseeing the Springfield, Champaign, Bloomington and Peoria offices. The AAA Insurance office at 1915 W. Iles Ave. closed as of Aug. 18.
“We want to make sure people know that even though the main branch closed, there is another option for them,” said Bigley. “We’ll be able to provide all the same services, other than we don’t have the travel agency within the branch, but I work with a couple AAA travel agents who are still serving this market.”
Two insurance agents who formerly worked for AAA Insurance’s corporate office, Chris Allen and Bryan Friedrich, have also joined Bigley Insurance Agency.
“I’ve been working for the last two months on getting this office up and going, and we’re excited to be able to continue to serve this market,” said Bigley.
A ribbon cutting with the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 4 p.m.
