Aumann Auctions and Cory Craig Auctioneer have announced a merger of the two Midwest auction companies.
Founded in 1965, Cory Craig Auctioneer is a second-generation, full-service auction company serving clients throughout Illinois and surrounding states. Aumann Auctions has conducted auctions locally as well as across the U.S. and Europe since 1962.
“Cory Craig has built an outstanding local reputation through hard work, honesty and strong relationships,” said Tyson Reed of Aumann Auctions. “We’re honored to partner with them and provide additional resources, marketing reach and operational support that will benefit both buyers and sellers.”
“This partnership is about building on what already works,” said Cory Craig. “We’ve proudly served this community since 1965, and partnering with Aumann Auctions allows us to continue that tradition while positioning our clients for even greater success. We’re excited about the new technology and services we can provide.”
Cory Craig Auctioneer will continue to operate under that name, beginning what a statement from the company described as “a thoughtful, multi-year transition into the Aumann Auctions family.”
Julie Craig said, “We’ve worked so hard for so many years building our business. This gives Cory a chance to do what he does best, and that is helping his clients through life’s transitions. Partnering with Aumann takes a big day to day load off of our shoulders.”
Kurt Aumann described it as a logical partnership for both companies.
“Our staff is deep in operational backend expertise, and they will all be there to support Cory’s operations,” he said. “We’re really excited about the new opportunities this brings to all of us.”
