Have good quality, professional clothing you don’t need any more or looking to update or build your professional wardrobe? RISE, the young professionals group of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, is holding a Give & Take Professional Clothing Drive on Aug. 22-23.
All clothing donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. -7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, at the Salvation Army Community Center, 1600 E. Clear Lake Ave. Both men and women’s clothing can be donated. Please only donate clean, gently used, professional clothing items with no holes or stains. Examples include dresses, skirts, suits, slacks, khakis and blouses.
Clothing pick-up will be available for community members from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the same location. RISE will have bags available for attendees to take clothes home while supplies last. All community members are welcome to stop by and take home gently used professional clothing items free of charge.
All clothing left at the end of the day will be donated to local organizations.
