Hands of God Hospice is locally owned by David and Brenda Lithgow and was formed in December 2021. The company is patient-centered and God-focused as David Lithgow shares that the inspiration for Hands of God Hospice was divinely inspired.
“I have worked for some of the largest hospices in the country,” Lithgow said. “I was moved by God saying it was time to do it myself and do it right. With that, my wife and I decided to start the company.”
The staff has the goal of helping each patient have a good day on each visit. That could mean a warm smile or just that the patient went to the dining room for the first time in days. Hands of God Hospice is 100% focused on the patient’s dignity, integrity and comfort.
“Our staff provides encouragement and love to the patients,” Lithgow said. “What we have seen is God moving throughout this journey. We call them God-moments, or things that happen that we had no control over or contacts that come into play just in time. Many people will claim they want a good death, but we believe that people should have a good life as long as God allows.”
