Pam Hulten has been named the new director of the Springfield Memorial
Foundation, effective June 17.

Springfield
Memorial Foundation supports the mission of Springfield Memorial Hospital by helping
to fund patient care, education and community health activities.

Hulten previously served as director of development at University of Illinois Springfield,
where she helped UIS achieve and surpass an ambitious $40 million fundraising
goal. She has more than 20 years of experience as a fundraising executive and
philanthropy advisor, including as director of development and director of
annual gifts and corporate relations for the Carle Center for Philanthropy in
Urbana.

Hulten has a
bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in public administration from University of Illinois Springfield.

“We are very
excited to welcome Pam to the foundation and to Springfield Memorial Hospital,”
said Jay Roszhart, incoming president and CEO of SMH. “Her experience and
expertise will enable the Foundation to better serve our patients, our
community and our organization.”

“Springfield
Memorial Foundation truly transforms care and impacts the lives of patients and
our neighbors in Springfield,” Hulten said. “It’s an honor to join this team by
leading the foundation as it continues to advance the Memorial mission.”
