Velvet & Rosemary, a boutique specializing in both new and vintage women’s items, is opening a fashion house inside Willow & Birch Salon in downtown Springfield.
“This is something you would see in Nashville. It is highly designed, thoughtfully curated and Instagram-worthy,” said co-owner Angela Holland, who also owns the interior design company Broad Strokes Home Design. “We wanted it to not just be a boutique, but a feast for the eyes.”
The store-within-a-store at 521 E. Washington St. has been newly renovated and sports a fresh coat of bubblegum pink paint and over-the-top décor, Holland said. She and Aubrey Johnson, who describe themselves as “momprenuers,” launched Velvet & Rosemary in February 2022, initially focusing on Facebook live sales and pop-up events.
“We specialize in curating new, preloved, unique and vintage items for women to mix and match with what they already have in their wardrobe,” Holland said.
The owners are planning a “launch party” for 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10.
“We love to help people put together full looks, so come on out and let us style you at our launch party,” said Johnson.
