The Francesca’s store in White Oaks Mall will be closing later this month after the women’s fashion retail chain filed for bankruptcy.

Francesca’s filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in New Jersey earlier this month and plans to close all its stores nationwide.

An employee at the White Oaks location confirmed that Feb. 25 would be the store’s last day in business. A store closing sale is currently underway.

“Shoppers will find discounts of 25 to 40 percent off across all product categories, and new merchandise will continue to arrive at stores,” Michael McGrail of Tiger Group said about the store closing sales in a statement regarding the bankruptcy. Tiger Group, SB360 Capital Partners and GA Group have been appointed as advisers for the bankruptcy.

In announcing the bankruptcy, Francesca’s said the company would seek to “maximize value for stakeholders” throughout the court-supervised process.

“We remain focused on operating responsibly and supporting our teams, partners, and guests throughout this process,” Curt Kroll, CFO, said in a statement.

Francesca’s operates more than 450 stores in 45 states. The company, which was founded in Houston in 1999, previously filed for bankruptcy in December 2020 and was acquired out of bankruptcy by TerraMar Capital LLC and Tiger Capital LLC in 2021.
