The Arlington’s downtown event venue is now open for lunch and evening cocktails in what owner Brian Reilly is calling a “Session Pop Up.”
Arlington’s, located at 210 Broadway, is now serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a cocktail menu from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Lunch and cocktail service launched at the historic venue on Jan. 13. Reilly said they are “open ended” as to when the pop up will close.
“We’re trying to fill a gap in that downtown market, especially while the legislators are in session,” said Reilly, who co-owns Arlington’s and Cured Catering along with his wife, Melissa. “This is a way to stay busy while we’re in our slow months in catering but also give legislators and Springfield residents a place to go have lunch and a place to have a cocktail and network after work.”
Reilly described the lunch menu as a “butcher-style deli menu,” offering items such as smoked meats and vegetarian sandwiches on house-made focaccia bread, along with soups and salads. Lunch items are available both for dine-in and to-go orders. The evening cocktail menu includes shareable appetizers such as skewers, nachos and ramen.
The Reillys purchased Arlington’s Catering and Historic Venue from Ebben Moore in 2024. Brian Reilly said they loved the historic charm of Arlington’s and saw potential to expand Cured Catering’s offerings.
“Being a catering company, it was right up our alley,” he said. “Special events are really our bread and butter there, but having our own space, we are also able to do events like the pop ups and concerts and theme menus for nights out.”
Cured Catering moved into a newly built 10,000-square-foot headquarters in Dawson last year, which Reilly said has allowed the company to expand the capacity of events it can cater. Cured also recently introduced a to-go menu on its website, through which customers can order family size meals to be picked up at the Dawson facility. Reilly said they also plan to offer to-go catering packages for special events such as the Super Bowl, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter, which will be available for pick up either in Dawson or at Arlington’s in Springfield.
“We’re kind of just doing what we do but finding new ways to do it for our guests and customers to enjoy,” Reilly said. “It’s a fun way for us to keep it interesting and stay busy in our off seasons.”
