What is your guiding principle in life?

My guiding principle in life is to listen and meet people where they are. I take the time to understand how people work, what motivates them and what they need to thrive.

What led you to your current career?

A summer job in college answering phones quickly turned into processing payroll, recruiting and supporting key HR functions. I realized I had a knack for the work and a genuine interest in helping people succeed.

What obstacles have you been able to overcome on your career path?

One of the biggest obstacles I've worked to overcome is the stigma that HR is only present when something goes wrong.

What do you wish your younger self had known when you started on this path?

I wish I had known not to compare my path to others. Everyone's journey is different, and growth doesn't follow a straight line.

What's the song you sing in the shower?

Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams." It helps me start the day with a clear mind.
